What we collect
- Email address — collected when you purchase or are issued a Pro license, to associate the license with you and for license lookup.
- License & activation data — your license key, license ID, and a per-device installation identifier each time you activate or deactivate the app on a device, so we can enforce your license's device limit.
- IP address — logged transiently on activation/validation requests to rate-limit abuse; not used to identify or track you otherwise.
- Payment information — handled entirely by our payment provider (Cashfree) during checkout. We never receive or store your card or bank details.
What we don't collect
This site does not use tracking cookies or website analytics. QForge Free works fully offline and doesn't phone home for anything beyond an optional update check.
How we use it
Solely to issue and validate licenses, enforce per-license device limits, prevent abuse of the activation endpoints, and respond to support requests. We don't sell or share your data with third parties beyond the payment provider needed to process your purchase and the infrastructure provider (Railway) that hosts this service.
Retention
License and activation records are kept for as long as your license is valid, plus an audit trail of issuance/activation/status-change events for security and support purposes. You can request deletion of your data — see Contact below.
Your device data, in your control
Visit My devices at any time to see every device currently activated on your license and deactivate any of them yourself — no account or email login required, just your license key.
Security
Administrative access to license data is protected by a separate authenticated token, unauthenticated endpoints (activation, validation) are rate-limited per IP, and license keys are verified using public-key cryptography rather than a shared secret.
